Hyun Bin revealed that he must fulfill his responsibilities as both a good family head and a good father

On December 20th, a press conference for the hostage action movie ‘The Point Men’ starring Hyun Bin, Hwang Jung Min and Kang Ki Young was held at a movie theater in Seoul.

The film is based on a true story that happened in Afghanistan in 2007, and is about the rescue of 23 Koreans who were held hostage.

Hyun Bin plays the role of Dae Shi, an NIS officer sent to Afghanistan to rescue hostages.

The movie ‘The Negotiation’, which Hyun Bin and his wife, actress Son Ye-jin, shot together in 2018 has a similar storyline to this movie, so host Park Kyung-rim asked Hyun Bin if he had input from his wife to choose this story.

“No, she never suggested it to me. And I was the villain in ‘The Negotiation,'” he replied with a laugh.

Actor Hwang Jung Min raised a question about what he wanted to know about the couple.
“Were you and Ye-jin date when you filmed ‘The Negotiation’?”

“No, we weren’t dating at the time. Do you need a reporter?”

Hyun Bin replied with a good laugh.

Moving from movies to family, host Park Kyung-rim asked Hyun Bin how he felt about having a son.

“I feel like I have a bit more responsibility on my shoulders. But I will do my best to fulfill my responsibilities as the head of the family and as a good father.”

Hyun Bin is known for stocking up on baby shoes years before his son’s birth, as well as moving his filming schedule around to be by his wife’s side when she gave birth.
