James Cameron Says Avatar’s CGI Is Better Than Thanos
◼ Director James Cameron, who entertained the audience with VFX in Titanic, Avatar, Terminator 2, and The Abyss, everyone wants to know what kind of VFX was used in Avatar: The Way of Water.
◼ For the movie Avatar: The Way Of Water, James Cameron has worked with a Vfx company called Weta Fx, and the company has worked on the VFX team of Avatar, King Kong, Avengers: Endgame, Man of Steel, Iron Man 3, Deadpool and Deadpool 2.
◼ James Cameron recently talked about the VFX of Avatar: The Way Of Water in a conversation with Comicbook News and talked about the VFX of other movies.
”Before you say anything, you have to listen first. As for me, both Marvel and I have no desire to antagonize the DC Universe.”
◼ He then went on to say that his movie Avatar: The Way Of Water was better at capturing facial expressions than any other Marvel Studios film. In addition, the avatar’s facial movements were compared to Thanos’s facial movements made by the Industrial Light & Magic VFX team.
“Industrial Light & Magic Team worked hard. But when it comes to making facial expressions that express emotions, it’s not very stylish. Just look at Thanos. Try it.You look at that movie and it’s not even close. That was made by Weta.”
◼ James Cameron further pointed out that the special effects-oriented films of Marvel and other superhero movies means that there are many skilled VFX artists emerging in the film world.
“Nowadays, there are more professional tools and codes. In addition, you can find experts who write those codes. I think Weta also has a lot of new workers. It saves time. That’s why everything has improved.”
